Sheraton Atlantic City

Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel

Competing against some of the largest developers and hotel operating companies in the country, SDC was awarded this $87 million, high profile project after an extensive 12-month international search was conducted by the city of Atlantic City. SDC was successful in structuring a joint venture team that included Doubletree, SDC and Caesars to develop the hotel. In addition to being the developer, SDC serves as managing general partner and is a co-owner of the property. Located directly across the street from the Atlantic City Convention Center and connected to it by a pedestrian bridge, the fifteen-story hotel offers 502 guest rooms and suites, a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, meeting rooms, a three-meal restaurant and Tun Tavern – Atlantic City’s first brewpub. The hotel was originally themed after the iconic Miss America pageant, which is held in Atlantic City each year. There are showcases featuring the gowns from past winners and a statue of Bert Parks, the pageant’s host for many years, at the entrance.
